Denver weather: First 80-degree day of 2026 forecast ahead of record heat

The National Weather Service has predicted that temperatures in Denver will reach 80 degrees for the first time this year, with temperatures expected to peak at around 4 p.m. on Wednesday. This comes ahead of three days of potentially record-breaking weather. A red flag warning will be in effect for the Denver area and parts of the Eastern Plains from 11 a.m., creating "critical fire weather conditions".
