Fourth small earthquake this year recorded in Lake County

A small 2.1 magnitude earthquake was detected in Lake County, Ohio, at a depth of nearly five miles. This is believed to be the fourth small earthquake recorded in the area this year. The largest in the region was a magnitude 4.8 event in 1986. The most recent significant earthquake occurred in 1998.
