The company measures sleep, heart rate, recovery, strain, stress, and offers recommendations on how to improve these areas. Users typically wear a black wristband, but there are also various types of wearable devices. Major League Baseball approved the devices for use in a game in 2017, and other athletes, including LeBron James, Michael Patrick Phelps, and Rory Mc-game. The popularity of WHOOP devices has spread throughout sports, baseball and the Yankees' clubhouse.
