The parish is rebranding its Substance Abuse Center as a behavioral health services unit, expanding beyond substance abuse to include mental health treatment. The expansion is personal impact, with Randall Dunn, chief operating officer, who lost his daughter in a police collision a few years ago. The new center's director, Dr. LaCrystal Wilson-Johnson, plans to hold community workshops, visit local schools, and meet with parish officials before finalizing its expanded services.
