Tennessee has received an amendment to the major disaster declaration that expands available aid to individual assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This comes more than two months after a major winter storm hit the Volunteer State. The amendment allows individuals in 29 impacted counties to apply for individual assistance, including Benton, Carroll, Cheatham, Chester, Clay, Davidson, Decatur, Dickson, Dyer, Macon, and Wilson. This assistance comes after all 95 counties were designated for FEMA public assistance or emergency protective measures under public assistance. Applicants can apply for FEMA individual assistance by visiting DisasterAssistance.gov, calling 800-621-3362 or using the FEMA App.
