Vernon's $111 Million 2026-27 Fiscal Year Budget Approved At Town Meeting

At the annual Vernon Town Meeting, residents and taxpayers approved the $111,115,831 budget proposal for the next fiscal year, with a vote of 63 in favor and 12 against. The Town Council also voted to set the tax rate at 36.72 milles. The tax rate for motor vehicles is capped at 32.46 milles, one mill represents $1 for each $1,000 of assessed property value.
