The wreckage of the Air Canada jet that crashed into LaGuardia Airport is removed from the runway, pending a thorough investigation into what caused the fatal collision. All but four of the passengers injured have been released from the hospital. The runway is expected to reopen on Friday. The NTSB is investigating whether a tower operator gave permission to cross the runway without realizing the plane was landing there.
