Tate Pulliam, an Oregon man accused of three violations at Yellowstone National Park, is seeking a dismissal of the charges. Pulliam's legal team, including the libertarian Pacific Legal Foundation, has filed a motion to dismiss the charges in U.S. District Court in Wyoming. The motion argues that the park rules Pulliam is accused of breaking are invalid because their implementation did not follow procedures set forth in the US. Each charge carries up to a $5,000 fine and up to six months in prison. The case follows a similar one involving runner Michelino Sunseri, who faced a charge stemming from a trail run at Grand Teton National Park in 2024.
