New Data On Fatal GA Traffic Crashes Released By Feds

The US Department of Transportation (DOT) has revealed that last year's traffic deaths fell to record lows, with an estimated 36,640 deaths predicted for 2025, a 6.7 percent decline from 2024. This is the lowest traffic fatality rate in recorded history, at 1.10 fatalities per 100 million vehicle miles traveled. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration also revealed that of the 1,307 traffic deaths in 2025, more than half of the total 1,300 were caused by drunken driving. The agency has designated National Distracted Driving Awareness Month for April.
