Shaker Heights police have reported an increase in concealed weapons arrests in the past month. One arrest was made for a 22-year-old Bedford man, after officers smelled the odor of marijuana and found a loaded.40 caliber firearm and several small bags of suspected marijuana in his car. Another was for carrying a concealed weapon and receiving stolen property after police stopped his car for non-working headlights or taillights. The 17-year old boy was also found to have been stolen from Cleveland Heights. Other incidents included domestic violence and a violation of a protection order for a man, 29, who allegedly assaulted his wife and damaged her personal property.
