Jasper County residents unite against offensive food waste odor

Residents of Jasper and Barton County, Missouri have met to discuss a smell they believe is coming from a food waste recycling facility called Midwest Organic Solutions. The meeting was held at a farm outside of Jasper, and attendees included state and local officials, including Missouri State Senator, Jill Carter. The residents are concerned about the odor they claim is emanating from the 25-acre operation. One option is to seek a permanent injunction against the facility and stop the operation. Local legislatures are in discussions with the Missouri Attorney General's Office regarding the operation and the odor.
