UK Asian Film Festival: 4K Restoration Of Muzaffar Ali’s ‘Umrao Jaan’ Among Titles Set For 28th Edition

The UK Asian Film Festival, which runs from May 1 to 10, will include the English Premiere of Ghost School (2025), a new 4K restoration of Muzaffar Ali's Umrao Jaan (1981), which was restored by the National Film Archive of India. The festival’s closing film will be the UK Premiere of Shadowbox. The Closing Gala will also feature the annual UKAsian Film Festival Awards, with Ali receiving the Golden Flame Lifetime Achievement Award and a special tribute to singer, composer, and filmmaker Zubeen Garg. The documentary strand will include screenings of W.R.A.P.
