North Carolina teen, 15, charged with involuntary manslaughter in 14-year-old’s death

A 15-year-old North Carolina teenager has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of 14-year old Teriyah Herbin. The incident occurred on March 7, 2026, when Graham police found Herbren with a gunshot wound to the chest at a home. The teenager was taken into custody without incident and transported to a juvenile detention facility. No additional identifying information is being released due to the age of the juvenile. The investigation is ongoing to determine whether charges will be filed.
