Duneland sets special meetings for new superintendent’s contract

The Duneland School Board is set to hold special meetings on March 12 and 19 to finalize the contract for Robert McDermott, who is being promoted to superintendent. McDermott has served as assistant superintendent since 2019 and is expected to succeed Chip Pettit, who will take a position with Hinsdale Township High School District 86 once his Duneland contract expires in June. The school board is required to hold a public meeting on the proposed contract to hear public comment.
