Cancer survivor finds purpose as 911 dispatcher in Medina

Summer Gray, a two-time cancer survivor and graduate of Cedarville University, is a 911 dispatcher for the Medina City Police Department in Ohio. Despite a degree in business management, Gray chose a different path after feeling drawn to emergency response work. She now serves as the first point of contact for callers facing emergencies and has been with the department for over a year. Gray credits her ability to stay calm during high-pressure situations to her own personal experiences. Despite the challenges, Gray finds purpose in offering reassurance to callers during uncertain moments.
