'GMA’s' Sam Champion shares updates after 'urgent' heart procedure

"Good Morning America's Sam Champion has reassured fans that he is recovering following a heart procedure that required immediate attention. The 64-year-old weatherman underwent a nuclear stress test on Monday, March 23 and is expected to make a full recovery at the Mount Sinai Fuster Heart Hospital in New York City. Champion returned to the show after a few days of vacation following the procedure. He explained that his heart was healthy and his doctor directed him towards further testing due to shortness of breath. A cardiac catheterization, also called a cardiac or heart cath, is considered a more invasive form of testing and may be used as a first-line defense or after other testing has been conducted. While it is considered more invasive than a stress test, it isn't a surgery, recovery is relatively quick.
