New technology tested in South West to track maritime emissions

The technology, developed by Ocean OS, has been tested in the waters off Devon and Cornwall for six months to verify its effectiveness. The data will initially be used by the government and local authorities, but it is hoped it will also have commercial uses. The technology allows users to observe pollution that are beyond their control, which could lead to a decrease in emissions reporting and regulation.
