Brookline Grant Aims To Increase Energy Efficiency Townwide

The Department of Public Works Sustainability and Natural Resources Division has announced that Brookline, Massachusetts, will participate in the 2025 through 2027 Mass Save Community First Partnership, which provides a three-year grant totalling $126,000 to support local energy efficiency goals. The funding will also fund the hiring of a part-time Energy Advocate to assist residents and small businesses with personalized guidance on renewable energy and efficiency opportunities. The town plans to collaborate with Mass Save sponsors, including Eversource and National Grid, to provide solutions aimed at reducing energy consumption. The new role will include no-cost Home Energy Assessments and information on rebates and incentives for insulation, air sealing, and heat pump installations.
