The family of Dr. Alyssa Lokits, a 34-year-old woman who was shot and killed on an Antioch greenway, is leading a six-month audit of greenway safety across Nashville. The volunteers will meet at 11 major greenways across the city and will document safety and usability factors. The audit aims to identify spaces where additional lighting, cameras, or emergency call boxes are needed to improve safety for people who use the trail daily. The goal is to bring the community together to make the trails safer for all.
