The JCAC argues that mental health crisis should not be a death sentence and demands that more tax dollars should be used to support neighbors rather than the "violent and inept sheriff's office". They also highlighted the cases of individuals like Rashaud Martin and Leah Baker who were fatally shot by JSO officers.
