The City of Alpharetta, Georgia, may have opened the first city‑branded Tesla Supercharger station. The site was installed next to its Department of Public Safety and features four V3.5 stalls with peak charging power of up to 325 kW. The Superchargers support the city’s Tesla Model Y police cars and are also open to the public. The installation may generate revenue for the city to offset the city's capital costs. If successful, other cities could expand EV charging infrastructure while supporting their fleet electrification. This could accelerate fast‑charging deployment across the US.
